Wise Owl builds the line with flat or metallic pigments depending on the color, and it tints and shades whatever sits beneath it instead of covering it. That means it works two ways: over a painted piece that has been sealed, or straight onto bare wood for a gel stain finish. Available in a 2 oz sample, 4 oz and 8 oz.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eHow to use\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eLet the final coat of paint dry completely, then seal it with one coat of Wise Owl Varnish or One Hour Enamel Clear. Lightly sand the sealed piece, brush the glaze on in sections, and wipe it back with a damp lint free cloth until the effect is exactly right. Glaze is made to be wiped almost as soon as it goes on, so work in small areas and resist overworking it. Allow 2 hours to dry fully, then top with Varnish or One Hour Enamel Clear for full protection.
